Earth to Nancy Pelosi: How is it exactly that “Obamacare has succeeded in every way?”

Image: Earth to Nancy Pelosi: How is it exactly that “Obamacare has succeeded in every way?”

(Natural News) In a stunning display of willful ignorance, House Minority Leader, Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), during a recent town hall on CNN, made the laughable statement that the healthcare debacle known as “Obamacare” has “succeeded in every way,” leaving millions of people who see the Affordable Care Act (ACA) as a nightmare for their pocketbooks scratching their heads and asking, “What, exactly, has been a success, Ms. Pelosi?”

The Obamacare rollout was, as most Natural News readers probably know, nothing short of a complete and utter disaster. But even worse have been its residual effects on premiums and healthcare costs as a whole; what was supposed to be “affordable” care, it turns out, has actually become more expensive. And then there is the “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” fairy tale nonsense promised by the former president.

No matter how you look at it, Obamacare has hardly lived up to all the hype. It has created all sorts of problems for the millions of hard-working Americans who can no longer afford to have health insurance. Where is the affordability for them, or their children and grandchildren that, apart from a full repeal, will also have to suffer under the weight of its burdensome mandates? (RELATED: Read RIGGED.news for coverage of how the health care system is rigged against the people.)

In Pelosi’s view, the law itself had three primary purposes and somehow, in her mind, all three have been achieved: increasing healthcare coverage; improving healthcare benefits; and lowering healthcare costs. Tens of millions of Americans would strongly disagree with her estimates, but this is her view, and presumably the view of her Democratic allies fighting tooth and nail to defend their precious healthcare bill.

“Some of the costs are still going up because of the costs of prescription drugs,” she admitted, adding though, that these costs are supposedly increasing at a much slower rate following the bill’s passage and enactment than at any other time that such metrics have been measured.

Pelosi’s delusions about the merits of Obamacare go back seven years

Pelosi also said about a month ago that she believes Obamacare was “bipartisan” legislation, and that both sides have been on board with its agenda since the beginning, despite the fact that it passed without a single Republican vote. Still, Pelosi remains insistent that the only “tweaks” made to the law involved certain budgetary measures.

Many readers will recall that Pelosi was the same individual who back in 2010, when asked on NBC News’ Meet the Press by host David Gregory what the bill entailed, stated that, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” Based on this statement, some assumed that Pelosi herself did not actually know what Obamacare fully entailed prior to voting for its passage.

From the very beginning, Pelosi has apparently been under some strong delusion about the merits of Obamacare that nobody else besides her can see. She thought Obamacare was a good thing without knowing what was in it; she thought it had bipartisan support even though no Republicans backed it; and she now thinks that it has succeeded in every way, even though it has accomplished essentially nothing positive in the public interest. In essence Pelosi seems knee-deep in disinformation or self-delusion over the reality of how Obamacare has hurt so many American families in so many ways.

Considering that Nancy Pelosi has been wrong so many times on so many things over the years, how can anyone really trust anything she says anymore? It seems as though Pelosi is really losing her connection with reality at this point, or is so disconnected from how real people are being impacted by her precious Obamacare that she is willing to say anything — even blatant lies — to defend it. Now, Pelosi is spewing nothing but liberal propaganda rather than anything rooted in reality.

Calls emerge for Canada to ban George Soros foundations…

Image: Calls emerge for Canada to ban George Soros foundations… subversive front groups to push collectivism

People seem to be getting fed up with left-wing billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundation.

The globalist, open borders moneyman and Hillary Clinton supporter reportedly provides the cash for many social justice activist groups and think tanks all of which promote a collectivist agenda. MoveOn.org, Media Matters, Center For American Progress, and the ACLU are among the organizations allegedly funded by Soros.

It’s unknown if Soros was in any way involved in encouraging the protests that turned violent against conservative journalist Milo Yiannopoulos at the University of California at Berkeley, but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility since he has been known to do such things in the past.

As an aside, you have to wonder why those affiliated with the Soros effort would be obsessed with destabilizing a country or countries in which they too have to live.

Recently, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Soros described President Trump as a “would-be dictator who is going to fail.”

Soros is allegedly bankrolling some of the anti-Trump protests around the country as well as funding legal challenges to the Trump executive order that imposes a temporary travel ban on seven Middle Eastern nations that were identified by the Obama administration as countries of concern.

Before the election, Soros incorrectly predicted that Donald Trump would win the popular vote but the Electoral College would go Clinton, just the opposite of what actually occurred on Election Day in a rebuke of globalism.

Leaving the media once again outraged, Trump has maintained that if you remove probable instances of voter fraud, he would have captured the popular vote majority as well on November 8. VP Mike Pence is now leading an investigation into the country’s primitive voter registration and balloting procedures.

It also turned out that the drumbeat for so-called faithless electors or Hamilton electors that would overturn Trump’s victory was fake news.

Because of his actions in the United States, as well as similar attempts in Hungary the country is now cracking down on Soros-operated non-governmental organizations. Soros was born in Budapest in 1930, and the Open Society Foundation reportedly operates 50 different NGOs in Hungary.  All of these organizations are similar to those that Soros funds in the US, and are all an attempt at spreading his globalist agenda in the country.

Writing for a Canadian website PhilosophyofMetrics, JC Collins suggested, in part, that Canada should do the same.

“The attempts to remove American sovereignty have been halted by the election of Donald Trump which is why Soros is now funding the protests against the Trump administration…It is time for Canada to take action now against George Soros and his Open Society Foundation.  Our liberal-left socialist government is aligned with both Soros and the mandates of the United Nations…Even our non-liberal political parties, such as the Progressive Conservatives, both federal and provincial, promote the mandates and propaganda of the Open Society Foundation…If our major political parties will not serve the people of Canada and protect our way of life from the liberal international agenda funded by George Soros then it is time for Canadians, like others around the world, to begin the process of taking back our political systems and removing this insidious disease from our countries and cultures. ”

The former apolitical “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary announced on January 18 that he is seeking the leadership of the Conservative Party, and if successful, will challenge incumbent Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of the Liberal Party in the 2019 general election. The businessman has repeatedly blasted Trudeau’s tax, spend, and regulate policies, and that when it comes to trade deals, Trudeau will be steamrolled by Trump’s negotiating skills.

Writing in the New York Times, former Wall Street Journal reporter Asra Q. Nomani, who self-describes as a lifelong liberal feminist and Muslim who voted for Trump in the presidential election, claims that the Women’s March that occurred on the day after Inauguration Day in Washington, D.C., was far from a spontaneous, grassroots outpouring. Instead, Nomani explained that George Soros funded or has close ties with 50-plus March partners. No big surprise there.

Fear mongering: MSNBC host suggests Trump will be responsible for “suspicious deaths” of journalists

Image: Fear mongering: MSNBC host suggests Trump will be responsible for “suspicious deaths” of journalists

MSNBC took its fear mongering smears of the Donald Trump administration to a dark new low Monday afternoon when reporter Katy Tur suggested the president’s war with the media would start racking up actual casualties. During an interview with Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer, a Republican, Tur suggested Trump would take a page from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s playbook and start targeting journalists for death.

(Article by Nicholas Fondacaro from Newsbusters.org)

“As we know, there’s, since 2000, been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in Russia who came out against the government there,” Tur reminded the Senator before unscrupulously suggesting Trumps distaste for the media would escalate, “Donald Trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn’t agree with him here. Do you find that this is a dangerous path he is heading down?

Fischer defended the President, saying that it’s his job to foster relationships with leaders from countries around the globe. “And I believe that President Trump will recognize, or does recognize right now, who Putin is,” she added in his defense.

But Tur wasn’t having any of it, pressuring the Senator by asking, “What makes you say that he does recognize who Putin is when he hasn’t said so publicly?” The Senator tried to argue that the new president wasn’t going to sour the relationship right out of the gate, but was cut off by her interviewer. “There is a difference between attacking and flattering,” Tur spat.

The Senator tried to put Tur’s worries about Trump’s handling of Putin to rest, stating that Trump “will have very firm, very harsh, if need be, conversations with Putin…” And that the United States would not allow Putin to “re-establish some kind of empire for himself…”

Tur scoffed at the idea that our allies would be reassured by the Trump White House. “We will see if they are convinced by that,” she said dismissively.

NBC has demonstrated a blatant willingness to ignore Trump’s toughness on Russia and mischaracterize his understanding of the Russian tyrant. Tur claimed Trump was “going above and beyond — bending over backwards” for the Russian president. But these are the same people who blacked-out how the administration stood up to Russia during UN Security Council meeting last week.

And to suggest that Trump would follow Putin down a “dangerous path” and start assassinating journalist is vile. It’s reporting like this that helps to create the circumstances for the violent rhetoric we’re seeing from the left, such as Madonna talking about blowing up the White House and Sarah Silverman calling for a military coup.

KATY TUR: Senator, the junior senator in your state, Senator Ben Sasse, came out pretty strongly over the weekend condemning Donald Trump’s assertion that we are just as bad as Russia. When he said that, you know, we — America does bad and terrible things, too, when Bill O’Reilly asked him if Vladimir Putin was a killer.

Why — what is your sense of why this president is going above and beyond — bending over backwards, if you will — to stay away from criticizing the Russian president? And it’s almost give him an excuse. As we know, there’s, since 2000, been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in Russia who came out against the government there. Donald Trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn’t agree with him here. Do you find that this is a dangerous path he is heading down?

DEB FISCHER: I know that Putin is a thug and he runs a gas station, and the prices are low right now. And so he is going to continue to be belligerent; he is going to continue to be aggressive. I’ve led a codels to Eastern Europe; I led a codel to Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Romania. And we have a very full understanding of who Vladimir Putin is. And he is not a friend of the United States.

It’s up to President Trump to establish relationships with foreign leaders, but also to recognize them for who they are. And I believe that President Trump will recognize, or does recognize right now, who Putin is. And he will develop that relationship and he will know how to confront him.

TUR: Very quickly, what makes you say that he does recognize who Putin is when he hasn’t said so publicly?

FISCHER: Well, I think when you’re at the beginning of an administration, you really don’t want to go out and start attacking people that you’re going to have to work with. You know when I came to the United States —

TUR [over Fischer]: There is a difference between attacking and flattering.

FISCHER: Well, when I came to the United States Senate, I told Nebraskans I was going to work across the aisle. You know, I’m going to work with Republicans, I’m going to work with Democrats. We have differing opinions on many things but we have to work together. And I’m not going to attack them in public. We’re going to try to get together. I think it’s important that we show that we can work together. We can be respectful. We can be civil. And the American people need to see that. So, I am hopeful that President Trump will have very firm, very harsh, if need be, conversations with Putin to let him know that here in the United States we understand who he is, we understand what we view as his agenda in trying to re-establish some kind of empire for himself, and that we will not allow that to happen. Our allies need to hear that. And I think here in the Senate, many of us have been very, very forthright in making sure that our allies understand that we are there for them against Putin.

TUR: We will see if they are convinced by that.
