1984 is here: Samsung admits its TVs might spy on you, warns against carrying out sensitive conversations

(NaturalNews) In the prescient 1984 tome, author George Orwell wrote about a supposedly “fictitious” future in which the civilized world lived in what can only be called a surveillance society, in which “the government” would be able to keep watch on the citizenry 24-7, and through a variety of technological means.

It turns out that Orwell’s premonitions were a lot more realistic than even he likely imagined.

Today, surveillance cameras are everywhere, at least in the modern world. Police have a range of listening devices and surveillance technology, some of which can see through your walls and into your home. And federal spy agencies like the NSA routinely intercept and track Internet and wireless communications.

Now, it seems, even your household goods can spy on you. As reported by Britain’s Daily Mail, you might want to keep a lid on what you say this evening when you sit down in front of your television.

Samsung has issued a warning to owners of its Internet-connected “smart TV” — anything they say while sitting in the vicinity of the device could be overheard.

As the Mail reported further:

The popular televisions are voice activated, so users can switch channels or ask for suggestions of what to watch simply by giving a verbal command.

However, the technology which allows this to happen has a worrying side effect: it records everything else that goes on near the television.

Privacy? What privacy?

According to a clause in Samsung’s privacy policy, buyers should beware:

“Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party.”

For instance, that means that the TVs might be able to record a family argument that took place in the living room; executives discussing strategy in corporate boardrooms equipped with such smart TVs are at risk of sharing confidential information.

Privacy advocates are understandably upset and concerned, noting that the technology is ripe for abuse by government agencies and “Big Brother” in general (coincidentally, the name of the authoritarian state in Orwell’s novel).

“This thing is going to be in your house, listening in on you,” Renate Samson, of Big Brother Watch, a campaign group named after this very notion, said, as quoted by the Mail. “Samsung say they are providing you with a service, but really the only service you need from a television is to watch programmes.”

More than half of all smart TVs sold in Britain are made by Samsung, the Mail noted.

The problem is in the technology, which was sold as a convenience. The TVs “listen” for simple commands, such as those to switch channels or turn up the volume. But it can process more complicated commands as well, after recording users’ speech and sending it on to a third-party company called Nuance, which is located in the U.S.

Nuance then sends the voice data to a computer server, which then translates the spoken word into text and spits out a response.

As further reported by the Daily Mail:

To give these complex commands, viewers must press a button on the remote control as they speak, and during that time, anything within ‘earshot’ will be collected.

The data is encrypted, but can be listened to by authorised Nuance staff.

The technology giant remained tight-lipped about whether it then keeps users’ data, only saying that it does not sell information on, and that it operates within privacy laws, which vary by country.

Professor Peter Sommer, a digital forensics expert who has lectured at the London School of Economics, said there was ‘no reason’ Samsung would not be storing up data.

“The fear is they could be building up a pattern of your preferences, or learning your voice,” he told the Mail.

Even when interactivity is turned off, the TV can collect data

Users do have the option of stopping the recording of their conversations by Samsung; they can turn the voice recognition feature off. But even then, the South Korean-based technology giant can still collect some information.

“While Samsung will not collect your spoken word, Samsung may still collect associated texts and other usage data so that we can evaluate the performance of the feature and improve it,” says the company’s privacy statement.

The Samsung smart TVs are not the only video and television technology capable of monitoring your activity. As Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, reported last year, Amazon Fire TV (and similar services) has the capability to act as a spying device.

Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris Says Her Dad was “Set Up” and Knocked Off [VIDEO]

Published on Jan 25, 2017

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris believes her father was murdered – and says she attempted suicide after his death.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Paris Jackson said she believed the pop star’s death in 2009 was a “set up”.

“It’s obvious. All arrows point to that. It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bulls***, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it,” she said.

“He would drop hints about people being out to get him. And at some point he was like: They’re gonna kill me one day.”

The now 18-year-old was 11 when Jackson died of cardiac arrest due to a lethal combination of prescription drugs.

Why The CIA Murdered Michael Jackson

Russian intelligence officials have said that they believe Michael Jackson was assassinated by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) after examining data transmitted by a Russian Military’s Kosmos 2450 satellite that shows that immediately prior to the pop stars death an electromagnetic pulse consistent in pattern to EMR weapons was employed at the “exact coordinates” of the rock stars home.

The reason behind the CIA needing to assassinate Michael Jackson was an out of court settlement the pop icon signed with son of the king of Bahrain, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa, this past November in London, and which stated, in part, that in exchange for millions of dollars previously lent to Mr. Jackson by the Sheikh, Mr. Jackson would allow his sold-out United Kingdom concerts to be a “platform” for warning the World of a soon to occur mass genocide event.

Michael Jackson had planned to make a song similar to “Heal The World” for the Palestinian people. “Heal the World” was a song Michael originally made about children struggling worldwide from starvation and poverty.

The “We’ve had Enough” song is about unarmed Palestinians getting brutally and unjustly slaughtered by the Israeli Defense Forces. He was to use his tour to expose this abuse by Israel against the Palestinian people, and much more.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa “loaned” Michael Jackson the money for this tour. Michael Jackson’s repayment was to expose the abuse by Israel.

Watch the video and read the lyrics below.

Love was taken from a young life
And no one told her why
Her direction has a dimlight
From one more violent crime

She innocently questioned why (About a Palestinian Child questioning Israel’s violence in Palestine)
Why her father had to die (IDF soldiers killing Palestinian’s father)
She asked the men in blue (She questions the “peacekeepers” ineffectiveness)
How is it that you get to choose
Who will live and who will die
Did god say that you could decide?
You saw he didn’t run (He was an innocent bystander)
And that my daddy had no gun (The Palestinian was unarmed)

In the middle of a village
Way in a distant land
Lies a poor boy with his broken toy
Too young to understand

He’s awaken, ground is shakin
His father grabs his hand
Screaming, crying, his wife’s dying
Now he’s left to explain

He innocently questioned why (About a Palestinian Child questioning Israel’s violence in Palestine)
Why his mother had to die (IDF soldiers killing Palestinian’s mother)
What did these soldiers come here for? (IDF soldiers in Palestine)
If they’re for peace, why is there war? (regarding Israel’s politics)

Did God say that they could decide
Who will live and who will die?
All my mama ever did
Was try to take care of her kids

We’re innocently standing by
Watching people lose their lives
It seems as if we have no voice
It’s time for us to make a choice

Only god could decide
Who will live and who will die
There’s nothing that can’t be done
If we raise our voice as one

They’ve gotta hear it from me
They’ve gotta hear it from you
They’ve gotta hear it from us
We can’t take it
We’ve already had enough

They’ve gotta hear it from me
They’ve gotta hear it from you
They’ve gotta hear it from us

We can’t take it
We’ve already had enough

They’ve gotta hear it from me
They’ve gotta hear it from you
They’ve gotta hear it from you baby

We can’t take it
We’ve already had enough

Deep in my soul baby

Deep in your soul and let God decide

Deep in my soul

It’s up to me and i’m still alive

They’ve gotta hear it from us

We can’t take it
We’ve already had enough

It’s going down baby
Just let God decide,

It’s going on baby
Just let God decide

Deep in my soul baby

We’ve already had enough

They’ve gotta hear it from me
They’ve gotta hear it from you
They’ve gotta hear it from us

We can’t, we can’t
We’ve already had enough

Why The CIA Kills Rock Stars [VIDEO]

Published on Jul 24, 2015

Rob Dew talks with John Potash about the numerous celebrities that the government has assassinated because they were starting to see the truth.

The CIA’s War Against The 60’s Revolution And The Killing Of American & British Rock Stars

The powers that run this country and the world did not like the American and British pop/rock music culture ‘revolution’ that sprung during the 60’s. It wasn’t just a cultural thing, but it was also the opposition to the Vietnam War and the most profitable American institution: The Military Industrial Complex. It was an era when young people used their brains and fought the status quo, the establishment.

Very soon, the machinery to stomp out this revolution was put in place. A special assassination group was formed using ‘the best of the best’ from the CIA, FBI and the military special forces group.

There are certain same ‘doctors’ and ‘psychiatrists’ and ‘specialists’ that come in and out of the picture during the JFK, RFK and Lennon assassinations. These are also players in these deaths, under varous assumed names.

Their techniques did not just incude asassinations by marksmen but also killings by ‘accident’, ‘suicides’, ‘drug overdose’ and lone ‘crazy’ killers.

Within a few years, between 1968 and 1976, many of the most famous names associated with this early movementaginst the establishmen were killed.

Mama Cass Elliott, Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin were all at the Monterey Pop celebration, summer 1967.

60 rock stars

Duane Allman, Berry Oakley, Tim Buckley, Jim Croce, Richard Farina, Donald Rex Jackson (road manager for Grateful Dead) Michael Jeffery (Jimi Hendrix’ personal manager), Brian Epstein (Beatles manager), Al Jackson (drummer for Wilson Pickett, back-up drummer for Otis Redding), Vinnie Taylor (Sha-Na-Na) Paul T. Williams (choreographer for the Temptations, and one of the original Temptations), Clarence White (Byrds), Robbie McIntosh (drummer Average White Band), Jim Morrison (Doors), Pamela Morrison (Jim’s wife), Rod McKernan “Pig Pen” (Grateful Dead), Phil Ochs, Gram Parsons (Byrds, Flying Burritos, International Submarine Band, singing with Emmylou Harris), Sal Mineo, Meredith Hunter (victim of ritual killing at Altamont Festival), Steve Perron (lead singer of Children, wrote hit songs for ZZ TOP), and Jimmy Reed (influenced many groups, combined harmonica with guitar) were more victims of thi assassination squad.

Almost every death was shrouded with unanswered questions and mystery.

Persons around the musicians had strange backgrounds and were often suspect.

Jimi Hendrix, Mama Cass Elliott, Steve Perron choking from their vomit? I doubt it!!

In addition to Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, and the Dave Mason band, many others suffered near fatal accidents.

The nine years in which the musicians allegedly overdosed, drank themselves to death, drove over cliffs, hung themselves, choked, crashed their motorcycles, went insane, or freaked out without any reasonable explanation, were the same years that the FBI and CIA waged a domestic war against any kind of dissent.

Police: George Michael ‘Probably’ Murdered

UK police say its increasingly likely that George Michael was murdered

Detectives investigating the death of George Michael say it is looking increasingly likely that the singer was murdered.

According to UK police investigating George Michael’s unexplained death, they wish to speak to a number of “mystery visitors” seen visiting the star in his final hours.

According to a post-mortem, the Wham! star’s death remains “inconclusive,” which has led to the delay of funeral arrangements being made while police investigate whether foul-play was involved.

According to an insider, George Michael was “suicided” due to his increasingly outspoken, political, anti-establishment views.

George Michael’s partner, Fadi Fawaz, posted a series of tweets shortly after his death claiming that the late singer “took his own life,” adding fuel to the rumors that his death was suspicious.

Ibtimes.co.uk reports:

Fawaz shut down his Twitter account after tweets, which he claimed were sent by hackers using his name, suggested Michael had committed suicide.

Now police are looking to speak to a number of visitors seen entering the former Wham! star’s home in Oxfordshire, as they try to piece together an accurate picture of his final few days.

According to Mirror Online, the individuals could hold vital information about the pop icon’s cause of death.

A “source close to” the investigation told the Mirror, “There are still vehicles that were near the property which the police are trying to trace the owners of. The police will take as long as they need to. The aim for them is to get an accurate picture as possible of George’s final days.”

Rumours of heroin addiction and substance abuse swirled in the days following Michael’s death, but have since been strongly denied by his family and Fawaz.

However, the prolonged investigation into his death is causing understandable distress to relatives, who are now “fearing the worst”.

“I’m worried that because everything is taking so long that it’s going to be bad news,” a family member told The Mirror.

“We just want to know what happened. Why was he on his own? Why did his boyfriend sleep in his car when George has a big house? It’s all very strange.

“We’re being kept in the dark. We’re still waiting to hear about the funeral. We just want answers and to lay him to rest.”

Senior Detectives Investigating George Michael’s Death

Senior Detectives Investigating George Michael’s Death

Thames Valley Police issued a press release today saying that they are looking to “establish facts” and are “taking statements” in relation to the death of singer George Michael.

The singer was found dead at his home on Christmas Day, aged just 53.

A post-mortem into his death was said to be inconclusive, though initial reports said he had died from heart failure.

Micheal’s partner Fadi Fawaz was interviewed by officers this week who say they are trying to trace everyone who visited his Oxfordshire mansion in the week before he died. They deny that it is a “major crime investigation” even though senior detectives are involved.

An insider recently claimed that the establishment did not want George Michael in the ‘limelight’ and that his demise had been planned a few years ago when he had started getting too ‘vocal’ about the powers that be and ‘political matters‘. Michael was planning a comeback this year. He was due to release a documentary and  had been working on a new album that would have been his first recording since 2014.

The Mail Online reports:

Mr Fawaz, who found Michael’s body, claimed recently his Twitter page had been hacked after tweets were posted claiming the singer had ‘tried to kill himself many times’.

Last week the Australian-born hair stylist told the Daily Mirror he fell asleep in his car on Christmas Eve and added: ‘I never saw him that night. The police know everything. That’s the most important thing.’

Mr Fawaz was photographed in the street this week and appeared appeared to be feeling the strain from the past two weeks.

In a statement about Michael’s death, Mr Fawaz – who had been in a relationship with Michael since 2009 – spoke about how excited they had been to share Christmas together.

He said: ‘We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed.

‘We don’t know what happened yet. Everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I.’

Mr Fawaz later tweeted that he would ‘never stop missing’ the star.

Days later, he posted a poignant link to one of star’s ‘lost’ songs online, but had to take it down amid a legal row over property rights.

The song, ‘This Kind of Love’, was from the Wham! star’s unreleased album Trojan Souls.

The song includes the touching lyrics: ‘Now everyone has to get over I know. But this empty house seems to get colder and colder. So won’t you stay here with me?

‘Now that I found you. I can’t let you go.’

But Mr Fawaz later removed the link as lawyers for Michael’s estate attempt to have the song wiped from the internet, citing intellectual property rights.

Then, on New Year’s Day, posts on Mr Fawaz’s Twitter account claimed the singer had ‘tried numbers of time to kill himself many times’ and had ‘finally managed’.

They read: ‘The only thing George wanted is to DIE. He tried numbers of time to kill himself many times…

‘And finally he managed…

‘We loved each other very much and we were together almost 24 hours a day…’ (sic)

Mr Fawaz later denied writing the tweets, saying the account had been hacked.

He said: ‘I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing. It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets.’

In a year that has claimed the lives of some of the most prolific and visible musical talents of more than one generation, including Prince and David Bowie, it is morbidly fitting that the man who gave us “Last Christmas”, George Michael, passed away on Christmas Day, “peacefully at home” according to his publicist.

As the BBC first reported, the star, who launched his career with Wham in the 1980s and later continued his success as a solo performer, is said to have “passed away peacefully at home”.

Thames Valley Police said South Central Ambulance Service attended a property in Goring in Oxfordshire at 13:42 GMT. Police say there were no suspicious circumstances.

The cause of death has not been revealed.

Michael, who was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in north London, sold more than 100m albums throughout a career spanning almost four decades.

In a statement, the star’s publicist said: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period.

“The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.”

Michael nearly died from pneumonia in late 2011. He received treatment in a Vienna hospital after which he made a tearful appearance outside his London home.

He said it had been “touch and go” whether he lived. Surgeons had performed a tracheotomy to keep his airways open and he was unconscious for some of his time in hospital.

Michael’s 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 had been set to be reissued.

It was due to be accompanied by a new film featuring Stevie Wonder, Elton John and the supermodels who starred in the video to his hit single Freedom! ’90.

Together with so many other greats who passed away in 2016, we thank George for the memories.

Public Health Warning for Standing Rock: 40,000 Pounds of ROZOL Rat Poison Illegally Used Across 5,400 acres[VIDEO]

Published on Jan 25, 2017

Buffalo from the David Meyer ranches in North Dakota and South Dakota remain under quarantine following the illegal use of a poison used to kill prairie dogs.

The quarantine includes about 900 buffalo that grazed in one small pasture of Meyer’s former Cannonball Ranch near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation as well as on the former Wilder Ranch to the south. The adult buffalo are under quarantine until September, though yearlings were released from the no-sale hold on Jan. 1.

The situation dates to April, when six dead bald eagles and dead bison were discovered at the former Wilder Ranch. An Environmental Protection Agency-led investigation found that 40,000 pounds of Rozol poison had been illegally distributed across more than 5,400 acres on both ranches, according to EPA documents.

U-turn: Theresa May promises White Paper on Brexit plan [VIDEO]

Published on Jan 25, 2017

British Prime Minister Theresa May has promised she will now set out her plans for Brexit in a White Paper, as demanded by opposition members of parliament. And that sparked extremely heated debate with Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the opposition Labour Party.
