Hillary Clinton has previously suffered “the same sort” of illness that saw her abruptly leave this weekend’s Sept. 11 memorial, Bill Clinton said Monday.
The Democratic nominee appeared unsteady as she departed Sunday’s event. Her campaign said she felt “overheated” and later disclosed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days previously.
“Rarely, but on more than one occasion of the last many, many years, the same sort of thing’s happened to her where she got severely dehydrated,” Bill Clinton told Charlie Rose in an interview that aired on PBS on Monday. “She’s worked like a demon, as you know, as secretary of state and as a senator and in the years since.”
