A priest who heard rumours of “boys running naked” at camps run by another priest says he refused to help promote the so-called “summer safaris”, but did not report his concerns to authorities.

Father Mark O’Keefe has been giving evidence at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, which is examining the case of former Wollongong priest John Nestor.

Mr Nestor was defrocked in 2008 after an investigation commissioned by the local diocese found he engaged in sexual misconduct at the camps between 1989 and 1993.

Father O’Keefe, now a parish priest in Wollongong, told the commission he became aware of the camps while working as an assistant priest in Nowra in 1988.

UK Home Secretary: UK Isn’t A Surveillance State… And I’d Give You Proof, But You Might All Die Because Of It

Theresa May, the UK’s Home Secretary has hit back after the UK’s Director General of the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism, Charles Farr, revealed how the UK believes it can spy on all “external” communications without a warrant and that it’s definition of “external” was pretty close to “everything” (and that’s only a slight exaggeration). May’s response might be summarized as denying everything and insisting that if the UK government revealed any details, everyone might die. First up, the denial:

“Some people have alleged that GCHQ is exploiting a technical loophole in legislation that allows them to intercept external communications – that is, communications either sent or received outside the UK – at will and without authorisation. This is… nonsense.”

Okay, so perhaps you could reveal more details about what GCHQ is actually doing and whether or not it’s actually got any purpose towards national security?

Oh, sorry, that would be “helping the terrorists win” of course:

US court backs mobile phone privacy

The US Supreme Court has ruled police cannot search the digital contents of mobile phones of those arrested without a warrant.

The unanimous decision is a win for privacy advocates that argued searching mobiles was an unreasonable intrusion.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in his opinion that mobiles “hold for many Americans the privacies of life”.

The high court had weighed appeals by two people convicted based on evidence found on their phones.

Both were convicted of crimes for which they were not initially arrested.

China’s Incredible Ghost Cities Will Make Your Jaw Drop [VIDEO]

Empty Cities, 2012 China is the world’s most populated country but it’s full of vast, empty cities, including a replica Paris. Is it forward thinking or a crazy economic risk?

In the world’s most populated country there are dozens of empty cities and more are being built every year. Is China’s ‘build-mentality’ good urban forward planning or an economic bubble that’s about to burst?

Tianduchenga, a near deserted replica of Paris complete with its own Eiffel Tower, was meant to attract new residents and businesses. But the new businesses are struggling to survive. “There aren’t many people here; our business is volume-based”, says the owner of a takeaway lunch shop. Meanwhile, in the Lanzhou New Area a range of 700 mountains has been leveled and demolition of houses and forced relocation is underway to make space for a new 130,000 hectare metropolis. According to Li Tie, who heads the country’s top economic planning agency, the federal government “must stop any fanatical actions by local authorities who blindly and hastily implement unreasonable urbanisation measures”. But urbanisation expert Tom Miller rejects the claim that China is on the brink of a property crisis. “Imagine China as bubble wrap. Some of those bubbles within it might burst. But in places like Shanghai there is massive demand for housing.”

Illegal Immigration Flood & Hillary Clinton 2016 Exposed [VIDEO]

British Police Use Fake Town To Prep For Riots [VIDEO]

Published on Jun 26, 2014

The US Army and British Police prepare for massive civil unrest.

Images show cops confronting “angry mobs” during social unrest. Meanwhile the U.S. Army has built a 300 acre ‘fake city’ in Virginia at a cost of $96 million dollars complete with a sports stadium, bank, school, and an underground subway in order to train for unspecified future combat scenarios. The city included a Christian chapel as well as street signs in English, prompting concerns that the site was geared towards preparing troops for the domestic occupation of U.S. cities in the event of martial law.
