Central Oklahoma experienced a series of earthquakes over the weekend, with the strongest being measured at a magnitude of 3.8. The tremors started with two on Friday, and were followed by four more on Saturday.
Oklahoma has been seeing a massive surge in the amount of earthquakes in recent years, shattering all previous records. Some seismologists believe this may be due to hydraulic fracturing (fracking), a process by which oil and natural gas trapped in underground rock is extracted.
